My apparent coffee addiction..
I used to be the girl that went to the coffee shop w/ all of her friends and said
"YUCK coffee! No thank you, i want the frappucino or a coke."
Even when i worked at our local cafe i didn't like "real" coffee. Though, i did sip the flavored lattes throughout my shift.
"I'll have a sugar free, fat free vanilla latte w/ no whip, please." I'd spew, feeling uuber fabulous.
I could handle those, you know, they were spiked w/ milk and flavoring.
Over the last few months, though, i have found myself ordering the regular ol' premium roasted coffee. Well, i say regular, my favorite is the Holiday blend, Snickerdoodle.
Myself, my mom, my aunt, and my cousin started a tradition of having a "coffee night" once a week. However, recently it has turned into "coffee nightS", plural. Then it became coffee for breakfast, coffee for a mid afternoon pick me up, and late night coffee. Anyway, i started laying off the lattes and ordering the regular coffee when i noticed how much more often we were sitting in the cafe, sipping vigorously, chatting away the time. The regular coffees, you see, are a good $2 cheaper than the lattes. Somewhere in the midst i became a hard core coffee LOVEr!!
It is becoming a bit of an unspoken habit. Take this weekend, for instance. We went to Sonic last night to pick up Cami some french fries, as it is the only thing she eats well, and rather than choosing something to eat I ordered a premium roast coffee. Funny thing is, it was bitter, dark, and didn't smell like fresh coffee, but i drank it quicker than you could ask "Whodunnit?" Then again tonight we had to make a detour to the cafe so i could grab me a quick cup of Snickerdoodle. Something in my head just keeps calling "Coffee, coffee, coffee!!" LOL.. like a little nagging fly buzzing furiously around my face. Mmm..it's SO worth it though. ;)
