Has it really taken me 20 months to become a *good* mom? I am starting to think it has. I mean of course i've always taken care of Cami, fed her, bathed her, dressed her looking super cute, but i don't think i have ever taken the time to really play w/ her and try to teach her.
Today we sat in her playroom and played for 2 hours! It was so much fun and she learned 3 new words from that one play sitting. I was totally impressed. Usually when i "play" w/ her i sit there watching her, talk on the phone, or take the time to hang up her clean clothes? After noticing her constant need for my attention though, i decided to really interact w/ her (which i know i should have been doing all along)
When we came downstairs i asked her "Do you wanna help moma put the dishes up"
She smiled SO big (literally) and said "UH HUH!!" then she picked up the wooden spoon and various cups and handed them to me like a big girl.
I always feel stressed like i'm constantly needing to get things done. But I think i've finally realized the house chores, errands, etc can wait. I need to spend every precious moment w/ my baby girl and she definitely benefits from it.
Here's our creations from today. :)
