Okay, i'm back to post details. Chris is so sweet. He put the baby in the carrier, started supper, and told me to go take a nap. (Oh and he watched Cami too)
So it all started Monday morning. I woke up feeling achey and crampy, remember? I was to tired to clean and that just wasn't me! LOL! My grandma came over and hung out to help me, then Chris made supper and I just layed around. I knew something just wasn't right.
Around 11:30pm I couldn't go to sleep. I realized contractions were about 6 minutes apart! I went to the bathroom and when I wiped I noticed pink on the TP, so I called my mom and told her that I may be going in to the hospital that night. I then called L&D and they told me not to come in until they were closer than 5 mins apart.
I got up and took a shower anyway around midnight, just in case. I went ahead and put my makeup on and fixed my hair. LOL! Then I went back to sleep around 1am and slept until 3am. I woke up in more pain. The ctx were very consistent and not what I had been feeling, so I started getting stuff together. Chris got up and packed the car with out bags, then we ate breakfast and headed out around 5:30am.
Got to the hospital and they hooked me up to monitors. I was contracting on my own every 3-5mins and was dilated to a 3. Yay! I was so excited to hear that.
Then around 7:00am they came in ,gave me my IV and put a small drip of pitocin on. I guess they just wanted it to happen even quicker than it already was.
At around 8:00am they checked me again because the ctx were coming strong and hard! I was pressing through them pretty well though. I found out that if I held the railing of the bed, they weren't as unbearable. I was dilated to a 4 by then.
9:00am the nurse couldn't stand to see my pain and called the anesthesiologist up to discuss the epidural. I really didn't want it! I was so scared because of all the horror stories I had been told, but he was super nice and made me feel comfortable. I told him I only wanted a very very low dose..just enough to take the edge off and he did exactly that! It was such a better experience than when I had Cami(I couldn't even feel my legs with her!)
10:00am the doctor finally showed up! He had been in a surgery all morning and was running a couple hours behind. He broke my water and checked me again. I was still a 4-5. Blah!
Around 10:30am, I started getting really sick. Nauseous and the chills big time! It freaked me out because that didn't happen when I was preg with Cami. I threw up a couple of times and continued to shake! The nurse decided to check me again because she said that could also be a sign of change. She was right. I was at a 6 and she inserted a catheter.
*This is when things started going quick!*
I told her, "It will happen quick from now on. Things went fast after I got to a 6 with my older daughter."
She kind of brushed it off, like "okay, sure.."
11:00-11:15am- Epidural was almost completely worn off!! I had a button to push, but I didn't want to. I liked the fact that I could feel what my body was doing.
11:15am-11:39am(can't rem'b exact times) - I felt some serious pressure in my business and thought "wth? is that the catheter or baby's head?" I asked my MIL to check the ctx sheet and she said "Oh yeah, that one registered at 100." So nurse checked again and I was a 7-8!
11:40- My parents and Chris came walking in the room and I was in aggonazing pain. I gritted my teeth and said GO GET SOMEONE NOW!! Nurse came running in the room and said "Let's have a lunch baby." I was complete!!
11:45-11:50am-She ran around trying to get stuff together as quick as she could. I was trying so hard not to push. It was awful!! I had to start pushing before the doctor even showed up! It was SO painful because the epi was gone!! I honestly didn't think I could do it, but I pushed for about 8 minutes and she was out!
11:58am - Carrah Reese entered the world!
She took to nursing immediately! I couldn't believe it. She eats constantly too. We were all in shock to see her white hair! LOL!! Cami was born with black hair so we were all surprised.
Getting ready to leave at 5am!
MIL brought that portable dvd player to keep her entertained

BTW that was Chris' dr pepper, but that's all I wanted through the entire labor. Haha..I usually hate dr pepper!
