Just Call Me "Allergic Ally"

I went to have a Allergy Scratch Test done today and the results weren't that shocking to be honest.

I'm allergic to mold, pollen, grass, ragweed, etc.. but extremely allergic to dust mites!! Their scale is something like 1-4, with 4 being the most allergic. All of mine were 1's and 2's other than my two dust scratches which were 4+. LOL!

Know what that means? I need to dust and vacuum more. BOOO!!! I hate vacuuming, it's my least favorite chore. Not that any of them are my favorite, but you know what I mean.

I will probably be getting allergy shots from now on. What a party. :)

A Night Full of Sweets

Not candy or other sugary treats, just sweet girlies.

I'm uncrossing my fingers and toes for this..Cami has been sleeping in her own bed for about a week now and last night was the best night so far. She only woke up once, but didn't cry at all. She woke up in the best mood because she was in her room with her stuff.

Carrah woke up at 4:30 this morning.As I was changing her diaper, she dropped her bottle that she was holding and grabbed her paci, stuck it in her mouth, and just closed her eyes. It was the sweetest thing because it was like she was saying "Okay, paci time=sleep time." LOL..I dunno, sounds silly, but I just thought it was super sweet and cute.

Then, about 5:00am, I heard her in there "talking". Twenty minutes passed and she was quiet, so I went in to check on her. She was sitting up playing with her rabbit, being as quiet as a mouse! Ha! So, another ten minutes went by and I checked on her again. This time, she was still "sitting" up, but hunched over forward, laying/hugging her rabbit asleep. SO darn cute!!!

Our weather has been absoloutley gorgeous lately! We've been spending a lot of time outside..woo hoo! I love this time of year.

These first 3 pictures were taken a few weeks ago. It was a new park that we had never been to and Cami loved it! She still asks to go back. I'm sure we will soon.

You Say Bento, I say Success

I've heard about this strange little thing called "Bento"ing your child's food. I never thought i'd do it, but I gave it a whirl and what'dya know, she ate her food! {All except the raisins} I know that isn't a very big breakfast, but that is HUGE for her. She rarely eats anything. So that was a successful morning for us. She has since then ate lunch and more breakfasts from the "Bento."

Weird word. Good concept.

This was my breakfast.
Think I may become the next Top Chef? Hehe!

"I Want a Spiderman"

I could have included this in a "CAMIism" post, but I thought it was so hilarious that it deserved it's own.

This morning I was giving Carrah a bath in the sink {because I do not have a tub ring thing for her yet} and the cabinet was open. Cami yelled "LOOK moma! I want a spiderman!" I was like..um, what? She kept pointing at the Nemo vitamins and I said "You want a vitamin?"

"Yes!! a Spiderman!" LOL.. crazy kid.

Vitamin. Spiderman. I guess it sounds a little bit alike.

She Laughs, Rolls 2 Ways and More

I know I am constantly updating about Carrah, but she is just doing SO much lately! It blows my mind. I feel like I can't even keep up with it all. She's only 5 months old.. SLOW DOWN little girl!!

She laughed for the first time this passed week. It was the most adorable sound. I love baby laughs! She hardly makes a peep, but when she does it's a happy squeal of joy. I could have ten more kids if they were all like her {I won't be doing that though.. no sirree!}

She is rolling both ways now. So it does no good to put her on her back because before you can blink she is flipping over. Then i'll lay her down on her belly in front of her toys and she'll be sitting on her bottom within seconds.


I also thought i'd have more time before she was an escape artist. This girl can get across the room so fast it's unbelievable! She has a strange way of moving though. She will get up on all fours then scoot her foot forward, almost like a jump, then pounce forward with her arms. LOL!


She's also a crazy toy fanatic! The girl loves to play. And I use the term toy loosely because she will play/chew on anything and everything! She loves paper and cardboard. Ha! {Don't worry, i'm watching her the entire time}

Oh yes and she is most always "1 sock sally" as my grandma calls her. I swear, for some reason she cannot keep both socks on{except for in the pic above.. that's a coincidence}

This post is mainly to incorporate some of the pics i've taken over the last week that just need to be shared. Hehe!

Pet Peeve

We won't direct this at anyone *ahem*.. , but the other one in the house that can do chores besides me hates to wash cups and bottles. I mean HATES to wash them with a passion.

Normally this person just leaves them sitting on the counter for myself to wash. However, this week we found this handy lil' contraption, that I bought when Cami was a baby, that just fits into the dishwasher. So NOW I come into the kitchen to unload the DISHwasher and find that it has been run, but only for the 3 or 4 cups and bottles. GRRR! My inner "Sasha Fierce"{Beyonce anyone?} came out within an instant.

Seriously?? You ran the dishwasher for that!? You couldn't wash THAT!!

Maybe I overreacted a bit, but yeesh.. how hard is it to wash a few cups and bottles?..even for a man!

Credit Where Credit is Due

We pay a lot of bills. I mean..a LOT of bills. Especially now becaue of my recent hospital trips, surgery, Carrah's and myself's MRIs, etc.. So when I got a "bill" in the mail from Old Navy, I was thinking *ehh..what do we owe now?* But then I looked a bit closer and it said $76 credit!!

Yeehaw!!

I LOVE those kind of "bills" I seem to get them every couple of months. LOL! I don't know how I do it. It's pretty simple to read a bill and pay the correct amount, right? You'd think so.. Somehow, though, I manage to goof now and then. At least it's fun in the long run!

The only thing is, Old Navy doesn't send you a check like some of the other places would. Since we used our credit card, it just credits back to there. That's still pretty awesome though, can we say NEW clothes for MOMA..and daddy{I guess i'll share since he brings home the bacon}?!


PS: If any of you have ever wondered why I spell {moma} with only one "M" ..well, I honestly can't give you a good explanation except that, that is the way my moma has been spelling it since I was a child.

Carrah's MRI came back NORMAL!!{This simply means she does not have Optic Nerve Hypoplasia, she does though, still have Albinism.} Praise God! So in honor of her healthiNESS here are some CUTE pictures of her. :)

Crib Bumpers For Us NO More!

Can't believe I haven't blogged about this already today!

Last night Carrah managed to wiggle her head up under one of her bumpers, BUT she was able to move it away from her face and play with it. She was completely unphased by it, but I was NOT. It freaked me out so badly. I immediately stripped them off the crib and threw them in the closet.

WTH? Why would a company even make those things if it is that easy to get stuck up under one? Grr.. I wish I would have listened to so many BBC moms about how unsake they are. Oh well, I know now and we were blessed enough that she knew to pull it away from her face.

Cami was aggrivating Carrah and she could tell that I was getting irritated, so she said. "I sorry moma. I need a hug."

"Aww" I said and gave her a big giant hug.

Then, she looked up at me and said with a sly grin.. "I have a little bit of milk?"

OH MY GOODNESS, she suckered me! LOL! I was laughing so hard there, was no way I could say no.

She is starting to bribe me already? What's up with that and where did she learn it?? Ha!

I'm a Cabbage Patch Doll!

I received my Cabbage Doll {the one on the left, can't you tell?} for my 4th birthday. I loved and cherished my "Miranda Doll" so much that I made sure I had her every time I moved. I even loved her so much that I decided to buy Cami one for her first Christmas. Then, the same with Carrah. Cami's is in the middle and Carrah's on the right. {Notice Carrah's has white hair, just like her?} :)
