Ouch!! I've Been Glutened

3 times in the passed week to be exact.

I am having issues getting my family to take me seriously. Ugh! It's so aggrivating. They think i'm just doing another silly diet until i'm bent over in aggonizing pain after I eat the food. I specifically ask them "Please season my meat with pepper and sea salt only!!" They say OK, but don't do it :(

First time was at my grandma's Wed night. She made yummy Top Sirloin, but guess what she marinated(read SMOTHERED) it in? Freakin Worsteshire sauce. A generic brand that wasn't gluten free. She said "Chris, it's top sirloin, if she doens't want to eat it, we will!" I said "that is very rude." She was like "Well, I just always make it wrong. You can just eat it." So I did.. 30 minutes later I was in extreme pain! It hurt for 2 days after that. She felt really bad. I didin't want that, but at least she got the message.

Sat. night was my niece bday, I called my dad ahead and said will you set me aside a burger patty and season it with nothing! He said "Oh yeah! Sure." I get there and he says just go in and grab a burger, none of them were seasoned. So I did. 30 min-1hr later, i'm in pain. What the heck? The burgers weren't seasoned..what's wrong w/ me? Then I find out, the guy who did the burgers, seasoned them with everything under the sun!! Lots of seasons contain gluten! UGH!!!! My dad said "you're going to have to lighten up." I said "I CANT HELP IT!!" in pain for another two days.

Tonight, my fault! I bought some Organic Pasta Sauce from Whole Foods and thought it was ok because the ingredient list looked fine. I should have known better bc nowhere on the bottle did it say GFree. I made spaghetti with the sauce, ate it all up, then started hurting. BAD hurting this time. My stomach, my chest, my throat, acid reflux etc.. I was racking my brain thinking what could it be? So I did a search and sure enough, it contains hidden gluten. :(!!

Message to me..be more careful no matter where I am!!!

Those Summer Night

I wish I could have typed that out like I just sung it in my head..you know from the move Grease. "Those Suh-hum-mer Ni-heights"

I hate summer time, but I love the senses of Summer and Summer nights. The breeze after the sun goes down, the lightening bugs flying around, the smell of freshly cut grass. It's all relaxing and reminiscent of the gool 'old days. Back when I played softball, the only love of my life growing up. I played for fourteen years. All of the smells, sounds, and scenes remind me of then. It was such a great time. I had no worries, no bills, nothing to bring me down, unless I got thrown out or missed a catch.

I'm so thrilled to see that my girls love being outdoors as much as I did. I just hope they can find their own summer passion one day that will always take them back to a fun and exciting place.

Bleh + Pictures

I'm in a yucky mood today, therefore I cannot come up with a good blog post. I had a festival to do yesterday and it was a BOMB. There wasn't even people walking around looking. NOONE!! Craziness. I got up at 4:30am to be there on time to set up. Sat our there until 6pm and sold 3 things. I'm so sunburned. The sun was scorching even with a tent over us. Don't know how many more festivals i'll be doing. I do so much better online. So anyway..here are some pics from the passed two weeks.

Last Sat night Chris and I went out to eat. This was before we left to take the girls to my moms.

They love to play together. CareBear stands up and holds on to the back of the trike and pushed MissPriss around. lol!

"But Her Eyes are Blue"

That should be the title of Carrah's Blog because that is all I ever here when I explain to people that she has Albinism.

First when I meet them(MANY people..SAME convo), they go on and on about how white her hair is, her being a natural blonde, etc.. and if I know them, I feel obligated to tell them why she has such white hair. I have a unique way of explaining, I think. One that makes people ask more questions. I tell them "She has Albinism. It's a condition where the body lacks Melanin, therefore affecting the pigmentation in her eyes, skin, and hair."
Their response is "Huh..?"
I laugh and say "Yes, she will always have white hair and skin"
They counter "OH! So she is Albino?"
I say "Technically yes, but that is not her label. She has a condition called Albinism and her name is Carrah. Not the Albino girl"
They then say.."Are you sure? I would have never know. Her eyes are BLUE! Maybe you should get a second opinion."
I then begin to get a teensy bit peeved "She was diagnosed at Arkansas Children's Hospital by the top Opthamologist. She has every single symptom, Nystagmus, Null Point, Strabismus, White Hair and skin."
They feel bad at this point and say "Aww! Well she is gorgeous. She looks so normal."
I'm very mad by now "She IS normal!! The ONLY thing it affects is her coloring!"

Enough of that. It makes me angry just typing it. Why can't people accept her? I just don't get it. She IS the most normal child I know. My MIL (and sometimes Chris!)won't even accept it. Almost every time she is around she insists that "Chris and you both had white hair too. I just don't know Kaycee, I think she is fine." SHE IS FINE, but she does have Albinism.

I just want people to accept her the way she is, because if they don't she is going to grow up thinking, why can't they accept me? What is so wrong with me that they want me to be different. It is my responsibility to make her feel as normal as possible, but it's hard to do when your own family won't believe the truth.

I asked Chris why he insists on saying she doesn't have it and he said "I do believe it, I just hold out hope that maybe it isn't true because I don't want her to have to go through all that comes with it." I do understand that. I don't want her to have to either. Everyone says "Well all kids get made fun of." Yes, they do, however most kids don't have a crossed eye and very white hair and skin" That is why we worry about it. I guess it is just different when it's YOUR child. If Chris would have had this, my MIL would have believed it in an instant.

Chris asked if there was some sort of procedure in the mix to somewhat cure her vision disability. I read about stem cell research being done, but i'm very much against that. I realize it helps some people(many people), but I just..well can't go there. So I just outright told Chris "No there isn't. There's no "cure" for Albinism."

I'm not sure why i'm holding so much anger because Carrah is perfect in my eyes as well as Gods. He created her that way for a reason and I would never dream of changing her. She has brought so much joy to my life and already taught me a million things. She was put in my life for a grand lesson and i'm loving learning it!

Randamity

First, let me start off by saying.. if you have a bow order with me, i'm working as much as possible to get them finished. I had SO many orders(around 10) come in at the exact same time. I'm working on them in the order they came in. All of them have been started. The bigger orders are what i'm working on right now. It does take some time to finish because I do them all myself! So please, please be patient with me.

I do still have a life and a family that I have to tend to, so please remember that.

Okay, on to my cutie kids. They've been having so much fun with eachother lately. CareBear is almost walking on her own. She can stand unassisted for a few minutes at a time, but isn't quite ready to take steps. She is having a ball playing with MissPriss(I really stink at this nickname thing on her..so if I type their real name..forgive me) They've been playing chase(as you saw last week), pull each other with the inflatible snake, walk behind sissy on the tricycle. LOL! It's just been a ton of fun lately.
Although.. CareBear has been so whiney. I think she may finally be getting more teeth. She is in that seperation anxiety phase. She wants me to hold her all day long and when we're away, she doens't want anyone else holding her other than hubby and I.

We've been cooped up in the house for what seems like forever now. It is just so extremely hot outside that I feel terrible having CareBear out in it. I would love to get out early and beat the heat(what lil beat you can beat..) but MissPriss doesn't wake up until 9:30-10am every morning. So..we stay in the house unless there are errands to be run.

The other day, I had a headband on CareBear and MissPriss insisted that she have one as well. This is what we came up with and she loved it! Did not want to take it off. She loved her diamond in her flower. hehe!

I swear she doesn't live in this walker, I just seem to have the camera more when she is in that room. Probably because my hands are free.

TV Talk / In the News

Obviously, Jon & Kate + 8 is all over the news..
Remember, I don't have cable, but I did see the gist of it on the Today Show this morning. So.Very.Sad! Apparentley they have been having marital issues long before the show and they said this would have happened wether they were on the show or not. Who knows if that is true or not, but it seems that Reality TV for marriages is just a bad bad thing. (Ex. Nick and Jessica, The Hogans, Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker, Britney and Kevin..okay they prob would've gotten divorced either way, but you see the point) I'm really sad for their kids. I mean it may be a better thing for them to be apart than for thekids to be in a hostile environment. Jon seemed really happy to be done, but Kate looked so torn up.

The Bachelorette:
Ughhh... WES!!! Dude is a doucher!! Why does she like him so much? Bleh..the other guys are so much cuter.
Jake was WAY cuter, but I have to admit he'd get on my nerves too. That conversation he had with her was just..uncomfortable. LOL He laughed through everything he said "I'm a ..ha..not going to say I love you, but ..ha..things are just lining up that way..ha" and you could see all over her face that she was not feeling it.
Kiptyn..still.total.hotness! He seems so genuinely sweet too. You'd thing with a body and face like that, he'd be a sleezer, but I don't think he is.
I really really like Reid! He cracks me up and I think he would be a really good husband.
Still not feelin' Jesse. I don't know why though.. he seems nice, I just don't like him. Jillian really seems to like him though.
I like Michael..as a friend. Ha! He's really funny, but he just seems so high strung.
YAY for Tanner being gone. Ah..last night was just hard to watch when he was rubbin her feet. Yuck!

SYTYCD:
Last week..
I really loved Jonathan and Karla's contemporary dance. It was my favorite! The rest of them were just so so to me.. Although, I did like Kayla and Max dance. I was sad to see him go. I thought Kupono should have went home. I think they wanted to keep him only bc he is different looking and has a different style dance. My fav couple is probably Randi and Evan. They are just adorable and I love watching Evan dance.

In the news..
Have you seen the "I am Neda" stories all over the news? It is awful. My cousin sent me the link yesterday. I dind't watch the video, but I saw a pic that was bad enough. Just so sad.. :(

Problems with Blogger

Anyone else having issues? Everytime I type it in the address bar, it comes up "Internet Explorer Cannot Display this Page" ..or something like that.

That has been happening for about 4 days now. It's seriously aggrivating me..that's why I didn't blog all weekend. I didn't want to be bothered with it. Any suggestions?

"Wow, She is SO Big"

You wouldn't believe how many times I hear this while out running errands. People will stop me no matter where I am to tell me how big my CareBear is.

I do realize that she is quite the Hoss, but I had no idea it was that obvious to everyone else in the general public. Yes, she can wear clothes now at 7 months that MissPriss wore at 15months, but then again MissPriss is a peanut. Her tiny stature is most likely due to her heart defect. So honestly, I thought CareBear was about average. Apparentley NOT..and people enjoy telling me about it.

Don't get me wrong..I like the fact that I look nice enough to come up and talk to me about my kids, but yeesh don't sit there staring at her in amazement and tell me all about how your child is double her age and weighs the same amount. I really don't need to know that while i'm standing here in the middle of the grocery isle, searching vigorously for flippin' sesame seeds!!!{NEVER found them btw!}

Normally i'm not bothered by peoples interest in her size, but yesterday it sort of irked me. I guess because she kept on and on about her kids' perfect weight the entire time she was telling me my baby was SO big and 3 year old was so tiny.

TV Talk

Real House Wives of New Jersey

I don't watch this show much as I don't have cable, but I watch it some when i'm at my grandma's house. This group of women scare me!! LOL..they make me never want to go to NJ. They are just plain tough! Anyway.. I saw this pic and I was like "WHOA! Something is different about Teresa."
I did NOT know she was pregnant again. Her little girls are doll babys..maybe she'll have a boy this time. Congrats to her!

I'm a Celebrity- Get me Out of Here:
Yeah, I watch this show sometimes..how sad is that? I know.. anyway. Last night, Sanjaya weirded me out a little(even more than when he was on AI)with the "gay best friend" quote. Hmm.. I think for once I agree with Janice when she said "Please."

Heidi Klum is expecting a GIRL! How sweet :) She will now have two girls and two boys. Aww.. She always looks so happy and you can tell she really loves being pregnant!

The Bachelorette:

Can we just have a minute to mourn the sudden departure of Ed. ..........
Okay, I was in lurv with him.

So, with that being said, my first choice for her is Kiptyn. She gets all goggley eyed when looking at him{which I can understand} He's adorable. I think they'd make a good fit.
D Bag Alert!!!
UGH! I hope she figures Wes out and sends him packing. I can't stand him..such a sleezeball.
..and seriously. Why is he still here? Give him a picture of your foot and send him home!
