Yard Sellin'

That's what we did this weekend and it was "oh so fun"..bleh! LOL!

Really though, it wasn't that bad. It took a while to get everything set up, but once it was it looked really good.

We had a rough night the night before. CareBear woke up at 3:30am and stayed awake for two hours! Then we had to get up for get at 5:30am{when she fell asleep} to go out and start the sale.

People started showing up at 6:00!! Craziness. It felt wonderful at the begining of the day, but around noon it was blistering HOT! Yuck. My feet hurt so bad when it was all over. I'm so so happy we did it because we got rid of a ton of stuff and made $240 in about 5 hours. I still have loads of baby clothes left so i'm going to take them to a resale shop.

Don't You Feel Stupid

Let me start off by saying, HA.HA!

I had to take the kids in to the doctor today{short notice} because they woke up feeling really crummy. Runny noses, congestion, coughing, etc..

When I got in, the first thing Dr. N says is "We had a call from you this morning mom. This isn't a Genetic Condition, why were you wanting genetic testing?"

I said{very nicely might I add} "Yes it is a Genetic Condition."

She got all huffy and said "No! I have the notes from the Opthamologist right here and it says it isn't"

I looked at her and wondered if I should just let her believe that and I said "The Opthamologist told me it was a Genetic Condition, passed down from my husband and I. I've also done a TON of research on this and the only way you can have Oculocutaneous Albinism is GENETICALLY!"

She sort of just sat there staring at me, then said "Well, I don't know anything about this{um..really? I couldn't tell..}, so i'm going by his notes. Let me look back over them." Reading aloud she said "This condition isn't genetic, but future siblings are at risk." "Ohh" her eyebrows raised. "It's a misprint. The first part of the sentence says it isn't Genetic, the second part states that it is."

DING DING DING!!! We have a correct answer! Yeesh.. you're goin to call me and act all superior and tell me that I don't know what my daughter's condition is when YOU read the stinkin' letter wrong{or didn't even read it completely the first time..who knows}

Whatever the case, I think she learned her lesson. I am going to be looking into different Pediatricians in the area though. Lots of research will be going into it as well.

In case you're wondering, she is having her referral nurse check with our ins and see if the Genetic Testing is in fact covered, if it is, they will schedule us an appt.

That Really Burns My Biscuits!

I had to write this down to get it out.

I called CareBear's pediatrician yesterday for them to refer us to a genetecist to see what type of Albinism she has. It isn't necessary, but I want to know exactly what form she has. If our insurance pays for it, why not do it? Just out of curiosity.

The nurse called me this morning and said "Dr N said it wasn't a genetic condition, so she doesn't feel you need it."

OMG!!!!!!!!!! YES IT IS A GENETIC CONDITION, you are a flippin' doctor, you should know that!!!! Ohhhhhh, that burns me up to no end. I cannot handle stupidity. Just because you are a doctor does not mean you can tell me if I can test my daughter or not dammit!{forgive me}

I don't know why it makes me so mad. #1, because of the fact she has no idea what Albinism is {When I told her CareBear had it she said "Oh I knew animals had that, but no idea they diagnosed humans through their eyes."} GRR!!! Or, #2, that she wont refer me! Why does she get to make that decision for me?

Ugh, this one may take a while to get over..

Less is More

I've been thinking a lot about going private and I don't think i'm going to do it. I do reserve the right to change my mind at a later time though.

I am just going to try to minimize the amount of picture of my girls I share and the detail of my surroundings that I go into. Ugh, internet land could be such a good, fun thing without the bad people out there.

Anyway, that is my decision for now.

{FYI: It has been used, that's why half is missing} I was considering going private on my blog because of a few random, creepy comments i've received over the passed couple weeks. I feel a little vulnerable after reading them. Soo..that is why i've been thinking about it.

Randamity

I just feel like talking..

So I watched The Bachelorette last night and I wasn't that impressed. At first, I thought Jake was super cute, but he seemed kinda weird to me and way to all about marriage after only one week. Then there was Kiptyn, who I loved last week, but then he said he'd never had his heart broke and that was a teeny red flag LOL! I dunno who I like for her.. maybe David or Mike.

Also, Jon and Kate plus 8. Yikes. That was excruciating. I almost feel bad for Kate. I know she is a biatch half the time, but still, you can tell it's breaking her heart. Jon is just kind of like "eh..what the heck..i'm here..blah, blah"

Yesterday, we didn't do anything exciting for Memorial Day. It was kind of rainy and humid here, so we stayed in the house. Hubs and the girls laid around and played while I kicked it into high gear making bows. I made a bunch of new cute things. I can't wait to get the pictures edited and show them. SO excited!!! I'm going to be taking them to the Rivermarket, probably every other Saturday, to sell. The booth rent is only $12, but you have to be there at 6am and it's first come first serve. They do a Farmer's Market every Tues and Sat and they have a lot of vendors come and set up as well.
Speaking of bows, I think i'm going to create a Facebook acct for PrissyMiss Boutique.

I found out Coffee Mate creamer is also Gluten Free. Hehe! It's just so exciting to read the label and see it say "Gluten Free" WOO HOO!! It's like when you're on a Scavenger Hunt and you find the prize.

On a sort of sad note.. CareBear is developing Strabismus{crossed or lazy eye(s)} Her right eye is begining to turn in more. :( I'm calling the Ped Opthamologist today to see if they can get her in sooner than her original appt.

The girls are playing together so much more now. It's really fun to watch. Especially when Miss Priss takes her CareBear blanket and runs around the room and the real CareBear chases her laughing. That's the funnest{i know that isn't a proper sentence}

Speaking of Jon and KATE. You know how neurotic she is about her house being clean, neat and orderly? Yeah..that's how I am. I'm way to much of a neat freak that I panic and have a horrible day if my house is out looks unkempt. However, i've finaly learned that my house is going to be a disaster no matter how much I try to clean. It just is. Period. Kids=Messes. LOTS of messes. Hubs said last night "Our couch is just ruined. We should've bought a used one." I said "Oh well, by the time the kids are old enough to quit making messes on the couch, we'll be able to buy a new one." Then my jaw dropped. Did that just come out of my mouth? LOL, yes it did. Wow, i'm learning.

Did I ever update on the girls 3yr/6mo check up? Not sure.. I'll do it here
Miss Priss:
Height: 37.5in (62%)
Weight: 27.4lbs (16%)
CareBear:
Height: 27 1/4in (84%)
Weight: 17lbs8.8oz (60%)
Dr. N was worried about Miss Priss not knowing her colors. {I am to, frankly} I work with her quite often and she cannot tell me the color I told her 5 seconds prior. I don't understand. She has always been so advanced. She knows words to every song she hears, knows words to books we've read twice, and can count to twenty. She cannot remember colors or numbers though(by the way they look) or draw a triangle or square. She can do a circle though.

Another thing, i'm thinking about making my blog private. Eek! I know.. there are quite a few lurkers around here. LOL! Give me a day to think on it.. if I do decide to do it and you love my blog{and I love you back..hehe}, email me and i'll send you an invite.

Marshmellows=Gluten Free!

I've been really angry and grumpy lately because I can't seem to find many easy Gluten Free foods to eat. I'm not a big cooker. I like to cook dinner at night for my family, but I do not want to cook breakfast and lunch too. It's so much easier for me to just grab something, eat it quickly, then run after my girls until our next meal.

Yesterday though, I had a great idea to make a baked sweet potato. I put cinnamon and a tiny bit of brown sugar on it. It was yummy, but it needed something else. *Ohh, marshmellows!* I thought. Ugh, but they probably weren't GF. I was wrong!! Woo Hoo! I check all of the labels on every food now and I kept reading that one.. nothing bad was on it. Then right under it, it read "Gluten Free" YEEHAW!!

Never have I been so excited to eat marshmellows.

Annual Festival FUN

It's festival season. Woo Hoo!! I have been going since I was a child. It is one of my favorite times of the year. It's such a huge festival that so many people attend. They have awesome entertainment and yummy food vendors. Hubs and I are excited to make it a tradition for our family!

CareBear started the day off with a BANG..lol!

Lil miss diva in her shades

Love this stroller. It was perfect for a festival. Several people stopped us to ask about it.

They had a huge kid's station with a million different tents with activities for kids to do. They had crafts tent, dipping zone where you get to dunk donuts, bubbles, sandbad toss, face painting, splash pad, etc..
They had bunch of sand pits for the kids to plan in and we almost didn't get Miss Priss out of there.
We laid a blanket down and took a break for a little while. CareBear had so much fun playing and listening to the music. She bounced around the stroller boppin up and down.

Miss Priss loved playing the drums! They were SO loud. It was definitely a favorite among all of the kids.

SO funny. She looks drunk of sprite. Hehe I know that is so bad.

Showin' off her face painted butterfly
Yay for CareBear! The sun finally went down and she was able to take her sunglasses off.
Me and my lil mini me!
Haha! We were both laughing at Hubs. Funny!
OMG! Doesn't she look about 7yrs old here? I had to do a double take after I took the pic. She is so independent now.

She got to play in a Kazoo band. That's my dad with her.
I think it was her favorite part of the night. She loved it!! She was the last one standing out of all the kids because she wanted to keep dancing.

*********************************
And of course{bc I love them} some comparisons from last year!!
Me 2 days before I found out we were having another GIRL!
LOVe this pic!!

FIVE Medications

Wow, I need to quit hanging out with my grandma, I feel like i'm turning into her. For serious.. 5 medications right now! Insanity!

I'm on
Omeprazole: one first thing in the morning for stomach acid
OrthoTriCyclenLo: birth control
Rinitidine: two at bedtime for stomach acid
ZPack-for Strep
Omnicef: two for an ear infection diagnosed TODAY!

Yes, that is two meds for stomach acid and two antibiotics!! Yeesh! I called the pharmacy and was like "ummm..do any of these interact with eachother?" He said "Why are you on TWO antibiotics?" I told him I had a sore throat 2 days ago and then went back to the doctor with more issues and found out I had an ear infection, so Dr J. prescribed me a different antibiotic that specifically treats ear infections.

I'm so yuck all over. I took it on a sweet blogger/hairbow maker tonight and I feel terrible. She emailed me saying she wanted to do something like Carrah's Bows on her website and I looked at her page and she had my exact catch phrase "..specializes in modern,trendy and most importantly affordable products for girls of every age." I was angry for a second and emailed her in a not very nice tone. I feel completely awful now and know that wasn't the best way to handle it. Does it really matter? It's just an online HairBow business right? I'm very sorry if you are reading this! I changed my catch phrase :)

OH and guess what? I've stuck to my Gluten Free diet since Monday and i've lost 4.5lbs!!!!! How's that for a happy ending to a blog post? Hehe! I feel so much better too. No more nausea, cramping, or indigestion! Yippie!

We Love Puffs ..Oh Yes, and Climbing

CareBear loves Gerber Puffs!
She's very good at picking them up and getting them into her mouth..they make her go "Mmm"
Miss Priss still loves themm as well. She'd eat the entire container if I let her.
and Bear is trying her best to make her escape. Not only out of the gates, but her playpen as well.

Arkansas(Kris Allen) Takes the Title

GOOOOOO Kris Allen!! Woo Hoo! I was so excited to see him win last night.

That finale was great. I'm so happy that I watched AI this year. I was becoming very disgusted with it and didn't even watch the first few weeks. Someone told me some guy from Arkansas was on there so I decided to watch. He was great!

I really liked him from the start, but I honestly did not think he'd win over Adam. It seemed that Adam could do no wrong and everyone just loved him. He was a fantastic singer, but not my type of music. I liked Kris' better. He's so soulful and I always enjoyed the way he changed up the songs.

Anyway it's so awesome that he is from right here and that he was labeled "The Humble One" and the "Dark Horse"

**********************************************
btw. I know i've been MIA for two days. I've been laid up on my grandma's couch with STREP THROAT!! Yes, that was the reason for my sore throat. I have had a fever, chills, body aches, yucky stuff out my nose and chest. Yuck! I'm on a ZPack so i'm hoping i'm on the mend. Please pray my girls don't get it! That was the worst. I didn't remember how bad Strep was. I haven't had it since I was around 10 years old. I had it probably 3x a year when i was a kid though. {tiny confession: I did not think adults could get it. lol!}

Hooray for Mommy Friends

Last week after my big woe is me post, I decided since i'm on the computer whining , why not look for a playgroup in my area. I found one on the first search!! YAY! They are a group of women who are in my town that get together at least once a week, usually more to go to lunch, have a play date at someone's house, go to the zoo etc..

I met them this morning at McDonalds. Cami had a BLAST! She was so worn out by the time we got home. There were probably 10-12 moms and 15-20 kiddos. They are all 3yrs and under, perfect for my girls!

Guess who got to have some adult mommy appropriate conversations? Yes, ME! Yippie!! I'm so happy that I found them because it is something I really needed.

We are going to another playgroup Wednesday and then to the Zoo the 27th :)

*****************************************************
Also, I went to the doctor this afternoon. My throat is so hoarse I can't talk. Cami keeps saying "Why you no talk to me?" Aww :(

I didn't go because of the hoarse throat, but because I thought it had something to do with my stomach pains/issues.. and I was right!

Dr J. thinks I have a Gastric Ulcer and GERD{Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disorder}. This supposedly is the cause of my constant pain in abdomen, indigestion, bloatiness, and the burning in my chest and throat that led to my hoarseness.

However, he did give me some meds to take and told me if they did not work by next week to come back and i'll need an Upper GI done. BOO!!

First Day Gluten FREE

What? Why? Since When? That's what you're thinking, right? I know.. random.

I'm STILL having belly problems. The same ones I was having before I had my gallbladder removed. It hurts almost constantly. My mind is always racing, could it be an ulcer{most likely}, could it be my liver since the pain is on the right side of my upper abdomen{not sure..}, could it be my diet{this is one thing I can try to fix.}
{{btw..if anyone has any info on any of these things that you can email me i'd appreciate it. I will do ANYthing to figure out what's going on in my tummy. It hurts on the upper right side, like right below my ribs. That's why they said gallbladder, but it still hurts!!!}}

It seems that every time I eat dairy or wheat products my stomach bloats and hurts. That isn't the constant pain I have, but it does add on to what i'm already feeling so I thought I would give Gluten Free a try. There is so much to this diet. The list of what you can't have is longer than the one you can have. EEK, that's stressful!!

But, last night we had Gluten Free Penne Pasta with sauteed Zuchinni, Squash, Sweet Potatos and garlic, then topped with diced tomato. It was really good! I felt like I had energy after I ate it and I never feel like that after eating. I'm usually so bloaty that I can't pull myself out of the chair, much less get up and clean like I did last night.

Then, this morning I had apple slices with Mighty Maple Peanut Butter {It is Gluten Free} made my Peanut Butter & Co and I drank Almond Milk {also GF}. For lunch i'm going to have a tossed salad with lettuce, tomato, carrots, avacado, boiled egg white and Balsamic Vinigarette {GF} Oh yeah the pasta we had last night had this dressing in it as well.

Just a Big Ol Pot 'a Gumbo

It's been a long week. I can't even remember last Monday, yikes!

I've learned a lot, discovered new things, met new people and of course..took pictures of my girls!!

This has got to be my favorite picture of MissPriss right now. I was taking a picture of The pic turned out GREAT. She's such a little ham.
{They each have their own CareBear blanket. Miss Priss had hers first. My mom bought it. Then we bought Bear one from Wal Mart.}

She was not as enthusiastic and my lighting turned to crapolla!

MIss Priss took this picture after her visit to the hospital. I was willing to let her do anything to keep her awake. It was the first time she ever got to play with my camera.
She watches me WAY to much..lol!

It's all blurry because I cropped it a bunch.

Hello TOOFIES!!!
I've been trying so hard to get a good pic of her lil teeth and I finally did!

One of my very awesome blog readers ordered this Bow from me last week and I shipped it off to her Saturday. I hope she likes it!!
