Have yall seen this link? EEK! I cannot imagine. She must be an incredibly strong woman.
Congrats to them..
This is how we announced her name to everyone(in laws and my parents). We had been keeping it a secret, but I wanted to finally get it out. LOL! Everyone loved it!! I'm so happy, no negative responses.
We got to go see our new little girl in 4D today!! She is adorable. Looks so much like Cami..it's crazy! She has much chubbier cheeks, though. The tech was surprised at how chunky her cheeks and thighs looked already. Esp after I told her Cami was only 6lbs 2 oz at birth! Carrah is weighing in at 1lb 10oz as or right now. Most importantly, everything looked healthy as can be!!
I know these are difficult to see and i'm bummed about it, but Chris loves them so that made me happy.
I'm sorry I haven't let any of you know what's going on with me. Blah..
So Tuesday morning as I was down stairs making my coffee, Cami woke up screaming! I mean a really painful cry! I knew something was wrong so I ran up there as quick as my pregnant bum could and found her holding her neck. I thought nothing of it at first, but when she sat up she kept saying "OW!" "Neck hurts moma!" over and over. I was like *Oh goodness, she has a crick in heck." But she just kept crying and crying and couldn't move her neck! I started getting really worried, thinking it could be meningitis, so I called the nurse at the ped office. They told me to they had an opening in an hour and half. So I thought i'd give her a bath and see if the warm water would help. It seemed to ease the pain a little because she quit holding her neck. She would only say "ow" in a little voice now, when she turned her neck to the right.
We got to the doctor and she, of course, screamed her head off!! I swear they hate us there. LOL! JK, but the dr checked her out and said her lymph node was a little swolen. She asked if she had had a runny nose or anything and I remembered she had a slight runny nose the night before, but not bad by any means. She said it had probably settled into the muscle in her neck and caused a crick. But that it didn't look like meningitis because she could move her neck and didn't have a fever. Thank you Jesus!! I was SO scared and felt terrible for her because, honestly what can you do for that?
That was long.. here is the next day's events.
I noticed that I wasn't feeling the baby move much so I ate lunch , drank a cup of juice, layed down, and pushed on my belly some.. still nothing! I called my OB nurse and she told me to drink a coke as fast as I could get my hands on one then lay down flat, wait 30 minutes and see if I felt any movement. I did that and I felt some really faint kicks. Nothing like I had been feeling. I got up and ate some Raspberry Danish at my grandma's house. (I had been craving that thing since she bought it a week ago) Directly after that, I felt giant kicks and movements!! Ah relief! Apparently she really wanted some sweets. :)
After all of this, I really had to say a quick prayer and just thank the Lord for all the blessings I have. I take it for granted way to often.
Here they are half way finished. I painted the outer edges with brown paint, then covered with scrapbook paper. Chris was sweet and helped me paint the little dragonflys and rabbits.
I'm going to do "Kate" as well to hang under it. I won't be hanging them by ribbon though. I found a neat idea online that i'm going to try. They had gotten a big open frame, hung on the wall, and painted the wall behind it, then placed the letters inside the frame. I thought it was pretty cute and am going to try it.
Oh and btw, the other thing is a hairbow holder I made to match. I still need to put her name on it.
We've gotten a few more things done, so I thought i'd add the updated pics. I still have to do the name letters and some things with the closet.
As you all know we had agreed on Cadence. WELL..we agreed on it, but I didn't love it. I honestly don't think Chris does either. It was just something we could both settle on and call it done. Obviously not in my mind. haha!
Anyway, I began to think that people might try to call her "Cady" or someother variation of "Katie" I don't have anything against the name, except that one of my BFF in highschool was named Katie and I don't want people thinking I named my DD after her. Also I just found out another one of my old friends is having a baby in Aug or Sept and naming her Kaydi. WOW! So after much thought and discussion, we've settled on the name we were originally going to give Cami and then again to this baby... Carrah.
Chris almost wouldn't give that name up last time I was pregnant, but he finally let it go after we found Camiana. Then when we found out this one is a Girl too, he suggested it again. The only difference was he wanted it spelled Cara. That, to me, is hard to pronounce, so I said I like it better with the "rrah"
AnyWHO.. after that long post, you now know i'm indecissive and can't be totally trusted with baby names. haha! This one should stick though.. the only time I may change it is when she is born, but I doubt it! HELP name fairy!! LOL j/k.
This picture was right after we got the stroller in May. I did NOT show her what to do with the carseat. I'm guessing she knows that a baby goes in there from seeing her little cousin Kinley in hers. I was cleaning up the room and she was playing with the stroller and I looked up and saw her like this.. standing on the wheel, putting the baby in the carseat! LOL!
This one was yesterday. She does it ALL the time now, but I still find it hilarious that she knows what to do.
Well not quite *Ta Da* just yet..I still have to get the bedding and make the letters for her name. And a few other little things will be in there.. like wicker/woven baskets, hamper, lamp, wall art etc..etc..
HERE is the bedding we are getting. It's called Kid's Line Bunny Meadow. I saw it in the store and it is gorgeous and so soft. Yay!! Can't wait to get it all together and paint the room. Woo Hoo!
Read more...So I went to the store where I bought Miss Priss and baby #2's new stroller this morning. I was in search of a crib, chest, and perhaps a changing table. Yes I did recently buy a changing table, but I don't like the color anymore and it doesn't match the bedding I want.
Anyway, I was beyond thrilled when I walked in the store. She had gotten new shipments in. Oh, in case I didn't share before..this store is filled with gorgeous furniture that the owner buys from warehouses. They always get to much in so she buys them and sells them in her store at "cost prices!" She has a ton of amazing stuff!!
Check out what I purchased. I had to look them up on the website because we haven't picked them up yet. I have to wait on Chris to get home to load them in the truck.
This is the crib. I got it for..are you ready for this? *drum roll please* $90!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is the 4 drawer Chest. I got it for $130!!
Now all I need is a changing table to match. I thought about staining the one I have, but that seems like a LOT of work. I may just go ahead and buy this one.
I appreciate all the sweet comments. I was so excited to get home and tell all of you. I'm happy some of you (Bridget, Kimberly) already have two girls and can give me all kinds of pointers. Hehe!
Her name will either be Cadence Bailey or Cadence Elizabeth. Chris wants Cadence Elizabeth, but I think it is to popular and doesn't flow as well. I dunno yet though??
Thanks to Janet!!(Welcome to your new little baby girl Mary-Kate btw..love yall!!)

Also, while we were at that store we found another great bargain!! A changing table that matches the crib we already have for $42! Woo Hoo! I know it isn't fancy, but it works..right? I'm going to get the pad to go in it and probably sew a cover for it to match the bedding we decide on.
Oh and that board in the background is what i'm going to use to make a growth chart for Miss Priss.
I'm sure many of you will despise them as they are somewhat different and not so traditional, but that's us for ya! :)
BOY:Cael Emerson
GIRL:Carrigan Delaney nn: Cara
Now come on 5 more weeks so we know which we will be having!!!
Thank you Jesus and everyone else who prayed for me. Dr and I heard the heartbeat as soon as he placed the doppler on my tummy. I've gained 4lbs so I guess that is a good place for 14weeks. I can finally be excited to be in the 2nd trimester. Yay!
I'm a little bummed because he told me I won't be finding out the sex of the baby until 20 weeks, BOO! I have to go back in 2 weeks when i'm 16wks for blood tests then 4 weeks after that they do the level 2 u/s. But that's okay, nothing to stress about. :)
I also guess I can add now that I have been feeling baby flutters for the passed two days! I didn't want to get my hopes up and blog about them if everything wasn't "okay"
I know it is way early, but we find out the sex of baby #2 in 4 weeks, therefore i'm already thinking names! So far...
BOY:
Carter Brett (i like) Brett Carter (Chris likes)
Brett Emerson
Evan Grier
GIRL:
Amelia Kate (nn: Mia)
Keltie Addison
I remembered another one.. Claire Addison (may be to popular though)
UPDATE: Chris will NOT discuss names w/ me anymore until we find out if it's a boy or girl. LOL, I think i've burnt him out on names. BUT.. i've been thinking about it more and I think the GIRL name will definitely be Amelia Kate (i just love it) and still unsure about the BOY name except that it probably will not be Brett Emerson.
I am 98.9% positive this next baby will be a BOY! I whole heartedly feel like "it's" going to be a bouncing baby boy because not only are the symptoms completely different than when i was preg w/ Cami, but also, my baby bump is much higher this time. I couldn't fit into my jeans when i was 6 weeks along w/ Cami and i'm still wearing regular jeans now at 13 weeks this time. Just a mommy's hunch, but you never know.
Jen and everyone else, YES we will be finding out the sex of this baby A.S.A.P!! I can't wait..5 more weeks!! Woo Hoo!
Halle Berry has a GIRL!
No names released yet..hmm wonder what her name will be? :)
